The CGE Project is located adjacent to the shutdown Conesville Power Plant (property of Frontier Group of Companies) in Conesville, OH, in the PJM area. PJM is a regional transmission organization (RTO) that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in all or parts of 13 states and the District of Columbia.

The PJM Interconnection region has 5,768 MW of net new capacity planned to operate in 2020, and solar forms the largest share. The region, covering all or part of 13 mid-Atlantic and Midwestern states plus the District of Columbia, has about 7,900 MW of new capacity with 2020 as the targeted online year. It also has 2,142 MW of scheduled retirements from a mix of coal, gas and biomass plants, S&P Global Market Intelligence data shows. New solar capacity totals 3,588 MW, and new gas capacity accounts for 2,150 MW.

CGE interconnection: the project will interconnect into the substation located at the Conesville power plant. Interconnection permits filled with PJM.

CGE is scheduled to be in commercial operations by the fourth quarter of 2021.
